Why two skies rather than one

A single star map is a date. Two of them is a story: the sky you stood under before you knew how it would go, and the sky over you now that you do. The Anniversary design is a diptych for exactly that reason — two discs, two dates, one frame. Couples usually pick the night they met for the left and the current anniversary for the right, though a first date and a wedding night works just as well.

What "astronomically accurate" actually means here

The stars are not decoration. Give us a date, a time and a place and we compute where every visible star actually was from that spot — the same calculation an observatory uses, run backwards.
