Nightward / Newborn star map
Newborn star map — the sky on the night they arrived
You already have the weight, the length and the time written on a card somewhere. This is the other measurement nobody thinks to take: what the sky was doing.

Made to hang in a nursery, not a study
The Newborn design is drawn as a hanging mobile — the star disc suspended like a moon, the name below it in soft type. It is deliberately gentler than the rest of the catalogue: lighter ground, rounder letterforms, nothing that looks like an instrument panel. It survives the child growing up, which is more than most nursery prints manage.
The birth time genuinely matters on this one
Most star maps are forgiving about the hour. A birth certificate gives you the exact minute, so use it — a 03:14 sky and a 21:14 sky on the same date are entirely different pictures, and the accurate one is the one that means something later.
Twins, and second children
Two births minutes apart share a sky, so twins usually get one print with both names. Siblings born years apart get one print each, and the pair hung together is a better gift than either alone.
How it works
- Pick the moment. Date, time and place — anywhere on Earth.
- Make it yours. Names, a message, and the design you want.
- See it before you pay. The finished card renders as you type.
- Download and print. A 3000×4200 file — a clean 10×14″ print.
Questions people ask
- What if I do not know the exact minute?
- The hour is enough. Anything finer only matters to astrologers, and this is astronomy.
- Can I add the weight and length?
- Yes — the message line takes anything you want to put there.
- Is the paper safe for a nursery?
- You choose the printer and the paper, so that is up to you. We deliver the file.
- Can I order it before the birth?
- You can design it, but you cannot finish it — the sky depends on the date and time. Design it afterwards; it takes minutes.
